Our Center: We provide credentialed and licensed experts trained in the field of Medicine, Counselling, Nutritional Consulting, Biomedical Science, Recreation Therapy, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Pastoral Care, Physiotherapy, Personal Training, Clinical Herbalist, Spa Therapist, Tour Guiding and Tae Kwon Do.

Clinical Assessment: Interview, Review of Systems, Medical History, Psychological History, Review of Recent Laboratory Tests, Review of Current Prescriptions, Review of Diet and Nutritional History,
Program Design: The program is delivered as an experiential, hands-on, group experience to further enhance a beneficial, educational, individualized and leisure experience for each client. Counselling using cognitive behavior therapy and nutrition is our main thrust in an active environment that is fun and non-threatening. Counselling is offered to aide clients in their search for personal growth and healthy relationships within cross-cultural, family and youth issues. Learning outcomes from counselling sessions can lead to overcoming domestic violence, family dysfunction, substance abuse, gender issues and behavioral problems. Clients will learn how to make decisions to become efficient problem solvers as they tell their stories in a safe environment. A variety of counselling techniques are used such as Adlerian, Person-Centered, Feminist, Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We provide counselling for issues dealing with violence, environmental, and biological, needs for a person. Clients can learn how to maintain and enhance self-esteem, identity acquisition, sexuality and independence. Clients will learn how to understand world views, and become more aware of the history and impact of oppression. Clients will acquire skills to facilitate group interaction that promotes self-understanding and behavior change for individuals in a group.
Activities can be chosen by the individual depending on their interest and skill level. Clients are encouraged to try new activities to enhance and broaden their repertoire of a leisure experience.
Activities List: Flying, camping, sight seeing, Indoor Board games, bird watching, movies, astronomy, meditation, wild life ATV tours, Safari tours in a hummer to watch buffalo, elk, deer, birds, geese, eagles and snakes in their natural habitat, fine dining (organic cuisine), bible study, house keeping, cooking, fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, camping, canoeing, photography, hiking, track and field events, sailing, paint ball, horse back riding, personal training, orienteering, kitebuilding and flying, art, ping pong, badminton, snowmobiling, X-country skiing, snow shoeing, Tae Kwon Do, Hot Tubing, art therapy, wall climbing, listening to music, learn to play an instrument, spa therapy, mineral spa and pool, wood work, sculpturing and pottery. Activities offered are dependent upon weather conditions and season.
Program Implementation: Most activities. Programs, treatments and services are provided on site in the beautiful environment that surrounds our retreat and treatment sites which are located in the town of Onanole, and the city of Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. Activities are chosen and implemented based on the assessment and skill level of each client.. Clients are encouraged to learn and explore new skills which are available in unlimited amounts and are all included in our monthly package price. Medical services have a separate fee schedule. A minimum stay is one month.
Progress Assessment: A subsequent interview with a doctor and therapist will follow as needed and before the client is discharged.
Requirements and what to bring: A client must submit a letter from their own physician which indicates they are medically stable. International clients must have travel medical insurance in place. Canadian clients should bring their provincial health card. All current medications must be carried with you to the center and must be sufficient in quantity to last for your entire stay. Please remember to bring copies of all medical records from the last 12 months. For outdoor activities, you will need to bring clothing that is appropriate for hot, dry, cool, cold, wet and wind depending on weather conditions and season. Upon arrival, clients/guardians are required to complete the Request for Treatment Form, a Registration form, A Medical Form and an Activities Waiver Form. Clients are advised to make their own travel arrangements to the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Center will provide transportation from Winnipeg to one of our treatment centers.
Note to clients and their guardians: This is a treatment and educational center only. We do not offer any promises or guarantees because it is unethical to do so. Education takes time and learned skills need to be acted upon and rehearsed many times throughout one’s lifetime in order to fully benefit from the experiences and learned skills. Clients will gain more benefit if they apply themselves. You will leave our center with valuable information that you can immediately apply to your daily lives. We encourage you to be willing and open to participate in our activities which are all filled with knowledge and enjoyment for all.
